Not bad for 10 days off in the month!

If you are new to our side hustle reports, here’s a quick breakdown of what they are and why we do them:

Each month we partake in various side hustles to increase our savings potential, learn a new skill, or just snag an extra buck.

These side hustles vary from contracted part time work to cash from apps. We keep some of the contracted work anonymous, but if we make money from a side hustle you can enjoy too (such as taking surveys, selling things, or using apps) we always share what they are.

Why do we track and share these numbers?

  • Keep ourselves motivated and accountable
  • Share that it’s possible to have side hustles even with a full time job
  • Give you some ideas of what you can do!

We really feel having a side hustle is something everyone can do if they want. Whether it’s putting a skill you already have to use, learning a new one (and getting paid to do it) or just using some apps in your daily life to get some extra change.

So with that in mind, here is this month’s side hustle report:

March 2019 Side Hustle Report

We are actually a little surprised by how high this number is considering about 10 days this month Mrs. FInding only worked her full time job while travelling. Although, she did put in quite a bit of work before the trip, which explains some of this.

We are still really pleased with the extra income and how much we are learning from side hustles. It’s more than just the jobs themselves, it’s also the challenge of fitting them in with other things we want to do.

Like many people on the path to FI, we can often get caught up in doing more, learning more, and filling up our days. It can be hard to find a balance of striving for more, feeling accomplished from putting in the work and excited about the extra bonus income, and just relaxing and taking in the day.

That’s one reason we are looking into passive income streams. Although we like working, we are definitely running out of time to work more, so we would like to see what else we can do to increase this side hustle number with less of an active need on our part.

We’ll see what that means for us as the year unfolds, but for now, we can’t be mad about some extra FI money!

PS- If you have more passive income streams that work for you, we’d love to hear them, we’re open to anything!
