Isn’t the universe something?
If you are new to our side hustle reports, here’s a quick breakdown of what they are and why we do them:
Each month we partake in various side hustles to increase our savings potential, learn a new skill, or just snag an extra buck.
These side hustles vary from contracted part time work to cash from apps. We keep some of the contracted work anonymous, but if we make money from a side hustle you can enjoy too (such as taking surveys, selling things, or using apps) we always share what they are.
Why do we track and share these numbers?
- Keep ourselves motivated and accountable
- Share that it’s possible to have side hustles even with a full time job
- Give you some ideas of what you can do!
We really feel having a side hustle is something everyone can do if they want. Whether it’s putting a skill you already have to use, learning a new one (and getting paid to do it) or just using some apps in your daily life to get some extra change.
So with that in mind, here is this month’s side hustle report:
August 2019 Side Hustle Report
But really, isn’t the universe something?
Mrs. Finding in May: I am going to make $2,000 a month in side hustle revenue, that’s my goal.
Mrs Finding in June: Hits the goal! It seems easy. It seems meant to be. Killing it!
Mrs. Finding in July: Wow, that’s a lot of work. I’m exhausted. Is this worth it?
The Universe in August: Here’s a break. Figure out your sh*t.
Just when I was questioning how much is too much, the universe came in with a slowdown.
Just as natural as the ramp up in work happened, the slow down was just the same. It was needed.
Thank you universe.
And so August was our lowest side hustle month all summer, but it was a lesson in itself that maybe we don’t have to go all the time, and that a little slowdown along the way isn’t all that bad.
The perfectionist in me is still struggling with that last idea, but maybe we’ll get there.
Either way, thanks for following along as we figure out all this financial/life/work/play balance beside you.
And if you have any tips for how you balance the desire for more income with the peace of less side hustle work, we’re all ears!
